Jean Monnet Module New Europe in the New International Order

With the support of the ERASMUS+ programme of the European Union.
Agreement number – 2015 – 0860/014 - 001

First of all the project and the module "The New Europe in The New International Order" is designed for students, lectures, professors and experts in the field. During the lifetime of the project will be created  the professional community dealing with issues of european integration. Students and teachers understand need of the European integration now, they will introduce the knowledge and experience at international level such as the international conferences, symposiums, round tables and other actions  all over the world. The program will allow to acquaint constantly new professionals in the field, to acquaint students and teachers with new techniques of teaching, to fill with the actual contents discipline and in the long term to create the program of the double diploma which disciplines will be in many respects focused on the European integration. Business games, discussions, round table discussion sessions are organized to better engage the students in the learning process and the University life. The students work under the guidance of their academic supervisors (module instructors).  

Our main team was based on the leaders in scientific and business sphere of faculty sociology and political science:

Marina Rodionova – Coordinator of the grant, Deputy Head of Research&Development Planning&Support,  Ph.D. in Sociology,

Yakov Plyays – D.Sc.  (Political Science), D.Sc. (Historical Sciences), professor of the Department Sociology and political Science, scientific adviser of the module, expert in the field of international relations, expert in the topic of new international order.

Igor Uskov – leading expert of National Energy Security Fund, lecturer of the department of Political Science, Faculty of sociology and political science, one of the experts and academic supervisors  and  module instructors   in the topic of energy dialog between European Union and Russia.

Alexander Shatilov – Ph.D. in Political Sciences,  Associate professor of the Department of Political Science, Head of the Department of Sociology and Political Sciences.

Our external team allow us to began to create professional community dealing with issues of European  integration.  Invited experts took part in the round table discussion  «Europe in the twenty-first century»  which was held on 19, May, 2016 at the Financial University.

The round table «Europe in the twenty-first century» was held during the Conference "European Union in the context of Modern Global Transformations" organized within II Congress of Young Scientists on Problems of the Sustainable Development which has taken place on May 19, 2016 in the historical building of Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Leningradskiy prospect, 49).

The round table has been organized and was moderated by the coordinator of the grant - the Deputy Director of Research & Development Planning & Support M.E.Rodionova  - Ph.D. in Sociology, Associate Professor of the Department "Applied Sociology". 

The round table has been conceived for enrichment of lecture material of the module, experience exchange and practical practices as among students, and expert community from other educational and scientific organizations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and other institutions.

The Dean of Faculty of Sociology and Political Science – professor Alexander Shatilov, the Head of the Department General political science professor, Doctor in Political Science has acted and has opened section with welcome speech, Professor, D.Sc.(Political Sciences), D.Sc.(Historical Sciences) Yakov Plyays, the Deputy Director on planning and the NIR organization – Marina Rodionova,  Associate professor of Department Applied political science – Evgeniya Makhmutova.

The invited experts of section became:  Ilya Subbotin is the Head of Department of the all-European cooperation, the Russian Foreign Ministry; Sergey Utkin – Ph.D. in Political Science, Head of Department of strategic estimates, Center of situation analysis of the Russian Academy of Sciences;  Galina Nikiporets-Takigava – Ph.D., Professor of Cambridge University; Manager of department of Political science and international relations, Dean of Humanitarian faculty of RGSU; Natalya Burlinova is the President of the Center of support and development of public initiatives "Creative diplomacy", Ph.D. in Political Science; Maxim Meyer Ph.D. in Sociology, Professor of department of Political science and the international relations of Humanitarian faculty of RGSU;  Igor  Shulyatyev – Deputy Head for scientific and research work of the «Constitutional and International Law» Department of the Financial University, PhD, Associate Professor.

Round  table «Europe in the twenty-first century» included reports on  such  subjects as "The created new world order are given. The place of Europe and Russia in a New World Order" (YA.A. Plyays), "Positive and negative examples of interaction of the Russian Federation and the EU in the field of regional cooperation" (Subbotin I.V.), "Coordination of foreign policy in the European Union: value for Russia" (Utkin S.V.), Features of monetary control of Germany within a monetary policy of the EU (Magradze A.G.), Reception of the European right in the Euroasian union (Iksanov I.S.), Modern features of functioning of European Economic and Monetary Union: conclusions for an integration  project for Eurasia (Rodicheva Yu.S.), Need of migration for providing a sustainable development in Europe (Kadysheva O. V.), Terrorist risks of migration policy of the European Union (Vedyashkina S.), etc. More than 70 people have taken part in the Conference (about 70 participants).

Conference has been organized and successfully held: "Questions of the European safety: problems, decisions, forecasts" (136 participants - students) with assistance of Department of Sociology and political science on behalf of the Dean of faculty of professor Shatilov A.B. and the Head of the Department "General political science" professor Ya. A. Plyays.

Conference "Questions of the European safety: problems, decisions, forecasts" has been carried out within the largest on scale, pithiness and prestigiousness of scientific actions of Financial university – the II International forum of the Financial University "In search of the Missing Growth" which has taken place on November 26, 2015.

Conference "Questions of the European safety: problems, decisions, forecasts" allowed to look more sharply at actual problems of Europe, to hear expert opinions of professors of Financial university of various orientation. Conference has allowed to enrich a lecture rate, has allowed to increase interest of audience of the lifted problems of Europe.

The following questions were raised: 1. Role of EU in global politics: key trends and the prospects; 2. Russian-European relations: restrictions and prospects; 3. New challenges for the European integration project; 4.  Future of the EU: development scenarios; 5. Stateless nations and states with limited recognition and the European security; 6. Faith and reconciliation: challenges for conflict resolution in Europe; 7. Russian business lobbying in the EU and the European security; 8. Ukrainian lobbying in the EU and the European security.
